Anja-Brow Chakra-Functional Archetype-Intuitive

The intuitive is being developed more and more by people as we move into the Aquarian age where spirituality is being developed as never before. The intuitive lives life knowing that the inner voice is there to guide and assist them as they travel their life path. I believe it is the way that God speaks to us, and guides us. All that is needed is to listen, and trust the inner voice that tells us what we need to know. All knowledge is available to us if we listen to our inner voice.

If we listen, the advice is there for the taking. Many people are afraid to listen, and questions the advice that comes from the inner voice because they don’t trust it. Often that inner voice gives us information or advice that we just don’t want to take, because it seems hard or doesn't sit well with what we KNOW (intellectualizing).

It takes trust in our intuition to move into the Intuitive. Trust that, in order to move past the obstacles in life, all you need to do is listen to your intuition. Trust the inner voice, it will guide you through the rough times and good times. It has your best interest at heart.

“The Intuitive has a deep understanding of the inner core of life and how people, who are not in touch with that core, can be lost in the web of their illusions. It knows that things are not always what they appear to be on the surface and it accepts both the fragility and strength of human nature. It knows that limitation is a part of the natural process of development and at the same time it encourages everyone to be positive and develop their full potential. The Intuitive is a loving and supportive contributor to everyone’s well-being.” Chakras and Their Archetypes~~ by Ambika Wauters

An intuitive that has developed their ability, knows what is at the heart of things. They can look at the inner workings, and see what is there. They read the signs, people and objects and understand what they are seeing. It knows the difference between ego based nonsense, and truth of a situation from the perspective of love. This is the seat of wisdom.

We can all open our intuitive self and live life from that inner wisdom. With practice and continued use, we will all be living life from the seat of wisdom that is within us.

Anja—The Dysfunctional Archetype—The Intellectual

The perfect analogy for the archetype of the Intellectual is also the scientist.  They deal in facts, figures, and theories.  It is strictly right brain thinking, and they do not trust or wish to consider the left brain functions (intuition, creativity).  The contrasts between the intellectual and the functional archetype of the Intuitive (a great analogy is the psychic detective) is one that bears some discussion here.

The Intellectual spends time theorizing, analyzing and gathering facts.  They make decisions based on their end analysis, without giving any thought to their feelings about what they do.  In fact, feelings are not something to be considered, as these individuals have suppressed them.  At some point in their early development they have been taught that their feelings have no value, and therefore they have to be suppressed.  In my experience of the business world, I was taught that feelings have no place in the work place.  I have always been one to express my feelings, and you never had any trouble knowing what I felt about something.  However, for years I had tried to suppress this reaction in myself in order to become accepted in the business world.   What happened is that once I suppressed those feelings I became an automaton, I made my decisions based on text book theory regardless of how I “felt” about it.  This resulted in a very cold relationship with those that I supervised, but a winning amount of pay raises for me as an efficient manager.  I have to tell you that this takes a toll on you psyche and physical health.

I'm not saying that intellect doesn't have a place, but it should not completely overshadow the left brain function of intuition.  A balance is needed to make choices based on ALL available data.  This assures that you make decisions that are right for you, and ones that you feel good about.

Overcoming the Dysfunction

Here are some things you can do to improve your intuition

This website has some things that help with the development of intuition. I am truly excited the academia has finally recognized the need for using intuition.

The litany of I AM for intuition:

  • I am intuitive

Only one is necessary here.
